MicroSize™
Self-cleaning Microfiltration System
Microfiltration is a physical filtration process where a contaminated fluid is passed through a special membrane to separate suspended particles from an aqeuous solution or process liquid. MicroSize™ is a self-cleaning microfiltration system delivering clean samples for analysis and applicable to many of AppliTek’s on-line analyzers.
The filtration system uses a hydrophilic PES membrane that wets out quickly and with a large effective membrane surface for superior flow rates. The membrane sits in a buffer container with a compact footprint and mounted on the filtration panel. This not only allows a quicker refreshing of the sample buffer volume, but also airtight sealing against possible odours or gases, and the possibility to insert a level detection.
Reduced maintenance
All AppliTek filtration and preconditioning systems are designed for fully automatic operation and require virtually no human intervention. Basically all systems are incorporated either with a blow-back action by instrument air, or a specific cleaning cycle. This fundamental design principle does not merely allow trouble-free sampling, moreover it contributes to high up-times. The design and choice of materials of our systems is second to none and make them ideal to be used in many applications, even for non-AppliTek analyzers.
